Help requests

A help request is an asynchronous, threaded message to Legal Eagle Law Firm. You write a question, optionally attach a document, send it. The firm replies during office hours. Each thread persists on your dashboard so you have a permanent record of what was asked and answered.

Use help requests when:

  • You want to send a copy of a notice, order, or document for the firm's attention.
  • You have a question that does not need a 15-minute consultation.
  • You need a written reply you can refer back to later.
  • You're outside office hours and want the firm to see something first thing tomorrow.

Use a consultation instead when the question needs back-and-forth conversation, voice tone, or fast triage.

Sending a request

  1. Open legaleaglelaws.com/dashboard/help.
  2. Click New help request.
  3. Fill in the form:
    • Subject — one line, like an email subject.
    • Message body — what you want to ask or tell the firm. There is no minimum length.
    • Related matter (optional) — pick from your active cases. If selected, the request appears in that matter's timeline.
    • Location (optional) — for matters where location matters (a property dispute, a jurisdictional question), the help-request form includes a location capture. You can pick from autocomplete, use GPS, or fill the address fields manually.
    • Attachments (optional) — up to 10 MB per file, common formats (PDF, JPG, PNG, DOCX). The platform sends files to the firm's secure file storage and surfaces them in the firm's admin panel.
  4. Press Send.

The request appears immediately at the top of your help-requests list with status Open and a timestamp. The firm's admin panel surfaces it in their inbox.

Replies

When the firm replies, the thread shows the response in line with your original message. Replies are typically text; the firm can also attach files (a sample pleading, a checklist, a copy of an order).

The dashboard polls for new replies in the background. You'll see a small dot on the Help requests sidebar item when there's an unread reply. Open the thread to mark it as read.

There are no email or SMS reply notifications in v1 — the dashboard is the surface. If you need real-time alerts, keep the dashboard tab open or check it once a workday.

Threading

Each help request is a single thread. You can reply to the firm's response inside the same thread to continue the conversation; the whole exchange stays together.

If the topic shifts substantially, please open a new request rather than continuing in an existing one. New requests are easier for the firm to triage and easier for you to reference later.

Status

A help request goes through these statuses:

  • Open — sent, awaiting first firm reply.
  • In progress — firm has replied at least once but the matter is not closed.
  • Awaiting your reply — firm has replied and is waiting for you.
  • Resolved — the firm closes the request when the question is answered. You can reopen by replying.

Statuses are set by firm staff. You cannot set them yourself.

Use cases

Sending a court notice the day you receive it

You receive a notice of hearing for a matter the firm is handling. Open a help request, attach a photo or PDF of the notice, write "received this today, what do we need to do before the hearing?". The firm sees it in their inbox and replies with the next step.

Asking a clarification question after a consultation

After a 15-minute consultation, you remember a follow-up question. Open a help request, reference the consultation date in the subject, ask. Faster than re-booking; written reply you can save.

Coordinating logistics

"I need to send the original of the agreement to your office — what's the best courier and timing?" Help requests are perfect for logistics.

Sharing a location

For matters where the address itself matters — a tenancy dispute, a property mapping — use the location field. The firm sees a structured address rather than a free-form description.

Following up when nothing's happening

If a matter is quiet and you want a status update, send a help request linked to the matter. The firm replies with the current state. This is faster than a consultation and gives you a written record.

What the location capture does

The help-request form has the same unified location capture as the rest of the platform:

  • Search — autocomplete-driven; type a place and pick from suggestions (when Google Places is configured).
  • Locate me — GPS, after a permission primer explains why we need location.
  • Manual fields — street, city, state, postal code, country. Always available, including offline.

You don't have to use any of them; the field is optional. When you do, the firm sees both your raw selection and the platform's structured interpretation.

Privacy

  • Help-request bodies and attachments are stored in the firm's secure storage. Only firm staff and you can read them.
  • The platform's database rules block any other account from reading your threads.
  • Attachments are stored on FilesHub (the platform's file-storage partner); the URL the firm sees is short-lived and signed.
  • The firm retains help requests for the period required for advocate-client correspondence under Pakistani law.

Limitations

  • Office-hours replies. The firm does not staff the inbox 24/7. Expect responses Mon–Sat, 9 AM – 6 PM PKT.
  • No real-time chat. Help requests are a thread, not a messenger.
  • 10 MB per attachment, 10 attachments per request. For larger documents, please send by physical courier or coordinate via help request first.
  • No outbound email notifications. v1 does not send email; the dashboard is where replies arrive.
  • English-only UI. Urdu input is fine; the form labels are English in v1.

Frequently asked questions

How fast does the firm reply?

There is no SLA. Most help requests get a first reply within one business day. Urgent situations should use the phone (+92 339 0108134) or book a consultation.

Can I edit a sent message?

No, once sent. Reply to the same thread with a correction.

Can I delete a help request?

You can close it. The thread stays in your history; firm staff retain it for record-keeping requirements. If you have a privacy concern (you accidentally pasted a secret), contact the firm and they can scrub the body.

Will I get an email when the firm replies?

No outbound email in v1. Check the dashboard, or keep the tab open — replies arrive without a refresh.

What file types can I attach?

Common document and image types: PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF, DOCX, TXT. The form rejects executables and scripts. If you need to send something unusual, ask the firm in a help request first.

Does the firm see my location in every help request?

Only if you fill in the location field. The form does not auto-detect or auto-attach your location.

Is the help-request thread covered by client-attorney privilege?

Yes — communications in a help request between you and a registered advocate of the firm are covered by the same confidentiality principles that apply to other advocate-client communications under Pakistani law. The platform itself is the messenger; the firm is the counsel.
